SafeCore™ Module
The removable SafeCore Module is a proven, field-tested, and trusted technology utilized by the Radius™ BZ1 to detect hazardous gases in critical safety applications. This cartridge-like piece of equipment enables your Industrial Scientific area monitor to detect up to 7 gases simultaneously from a library of 23 interchangeable sensor options, and is available in both aspirated and diffusion versions.
About the SafeCore Module
The removable SafeCore Module is a cartridge-like piece of equipment that houses a variety of sensors used for gas detection in Industrial Scientific’s line of area monitoring devices. Supporting up to 6 sensor slots and detection of up to seven gases simultaneously, this product allows you to customize your gas detection options using a variety of sensor types that include:
- Electrochemical, for toxic gases
- Catalytic bead, for combustible gases
- Infrared (IR), for CO₂ and hydrocarbons
- Photoionization detectors (PID), for VOCs
- Molecular Property Spectrometer (MPS), for combustible gases
These swappable modules are essential to the operation of our portfolio of area monitoring devices - the Radius BZ1, and in the future, the Vector AM7. Automate maintenance and data management from one convenient place by pairing your SafeCore with a DSX Docking station. Utilizing this pairing to bump test or calibrate your SafeCore Modules allows you to keep your Radius BZ1s in the field longer and simplifies maintenance.
In addition to supporting a library of 23 sensor options, the SafeCore Module also enables LENS™ Wireless peer-to-peer communications between enabled devices, and connectivity to RGX™ Gateways for cloud connectivity when used with the Radius BZ1 area monitor.
