Commonly Asked Docking Station Questions

I just purchased a docking station, how do I activate it?
  1. Go to the Activation page
  2. Fill out your contact and account information
  3. In the "Adding Equipment" section, select "Yes" to "Do you have a DSXi Docking Station"
  4. Fill in the serial number or activation code for your docking station - these can be found below and on the back of your docking station.
  5. Once all required fields have been filled out, click Submit Your Request
  6. That's it! An Industrial Scientific Representative will contact you shortly with any questions and complete your activation.
What do the LED indicator lights on my docking station mean?

A green light means the docking station and/or monitor being docked is ready for use. An amber light means that the docking station is actively performing a task or charging an instrument and is not ready for use. A red light means the instrument is not ready for use because of a docking station or instrument issue.

How do I initiate a bump test or calibration?

How do I know if my docking station is connected to iNet?

✓ – Indicates the DSX is connected to iNet.
X – Indicates the DSX is NOT connected
to iNet.
– Indicates the DSX is uploading
scheduled events.

My docking station says "Unavailable Gas" - How do I fix this?

It is likely that the tube used to deliver gas from the cylinder to the docking station has disconnected. Reconnect the tubing to the cylinder and/or docking station before testing your instrument again.

My docking station says "Communication Error, Please Retry" - How do I fix this?

This could be caused by a few things:

  • The tube used to deliver gas from the cylinder to the docking station may have disconnected. Reconnect the tubing to the cylinder and/or docking station before testing your instrument again.
