GDME - How to Use and Maintain Gas Detectors provides a hands-on overview of Industrial Scientific gas detectors and how to use them. This is a Technician Level Training, in which you’ll learn about common industry terms, gas hazards and the sensors used to detect them, device operations and maintenance, wireless communications networks, and ways to determine the best monitor for a job.
After the course, you will have the option to test your knowledge and receive a certificate of completion.
Course Syllabus
In this course, you will learn:
- The importance of gas detection and the equipment used for each application.
- How and when to use different sensor technologies, including their unique features and benefits.
- How to use and maintain a variety of gas detectors and accessories through hands-on experience.
- How to properly use the equipment by understanding their various functions.
- The proper methods for atmospheric testing, including the two-by-two sampling rule.
- How to set up wireless networks using personal monitors and area monitors.
