Real-Time Monitoring, Even in Remote Locations

Lone workers can’t rely on nearby peers for help when they encounter a safety hazard. The TGX Gateway links managers with remote teams using cellular and satellite connectivity so you can improve response times and dispatch help exactly when and where it’s needed.

productivity

Automate the lone worker check-in process to increase productivity and eliminate missed check-ins.

internet

Stay connected thanks to cellular connectivity with automatic failover to a satellite—no maintenance or charging required.

sensor

Automatically connect to wireless gas detectors with no maintenance or costly IT infrastructure required.

Why You Need a Lone Worker Monitoring Solution

Complete Lone Worker Monitoring

Give lone workers complete protection with GPS tracking, a panic button, a man down alert, and gas detection with live monitoring. Lone workers can get all of these features in one device by pairing the TGX Gateway with the Ventis® Pro5 and iNet® Now.

Automatic Check-Ins

Eliminate manual check-ins and improve workplace safety with TGX Gateway’s live, automatic updates on locations, gas hazards, and worker statuses.

Automatic Failover Connectivity

Rely on more than just cell connectivity. When there is no cell signal, lone workers are truly alone. That’s why TGX Gateway connects using both cellular and satellite, keeping workers connected in even the most remote locations across the United States and Canada.

Live Monitoring and Alerts

Know you won’t miss an important safety issue with text or email alerts that include the worker’s name, location, and reason for the alert—whether it’s a man-down alarm, panic/SOS, or exposure to a gas hazard.

Easily Take TGX Gateway to Any Site across the United States or Canada

Take the TGX Gateway where you need it. Vehicle installation allows for easy transportation to any site. For on-site live monitoring, consider the RGX® Gateway or the Ventis® Pro5 Wi-fi Battery.

TGX® Gateway Frequently Asked Questions

What is the advantage of using the TGX Gateway?

The TGX Gateway is a vehicle-installed device that transmits critical safety data from Ventis Pro5 personal gas monitors and Radius BZ1 area monitors to iNet Now Live Monitoring software. This makes it an ideal solution for monitoring the safety of mobile workers in remote areas where cellular coverage may be limited. Ventis Pro5 or Radius BZ1 will transmit location, gas readings, and alarms via LENS Wireless to the TGX. The TGX will upload the critical safety information in real time, giving safety personnel full visibility into their workers and improving their response times.

How does the TGX Gateway connect?

The TGX Gateway uses cellular connectivity to upload data. If cellular connectivity cannot be established, the TGX will automatically switch to a satellite connection.

How do I connect my Ventis Pro5 or Radius BZ1 to the TGX Gateway?

Easily! The TGX Gateway is equipped with LENS Wireless. Any Ventis Pro5 or Radius BZ1 with LENS Wireless can easily connect to a TGX using the LENS Group mode in iNet Control+. The group name should be the same for any TGX, Ventis Pro, or Radius BZ1 to communicate with each other. Once connected, communications will be sent at the following frequencies:

  • With a cellular connection, a Ventis Pro5 or Radius BZ1 can send location and status (“I’m OK” message) updates every four minutes in a normal state. When in alarm, the information is transmitted immediately and updated every minute.
  • With satellite connectivity, Ventis Pro5 or Radius BZ1 can send location and status (“I’m OK” message) updates every 10 minutes in a normal state. When in alarm, the information is updated every two minutes.

How do I install a TGX in my vehicle?

You will need to hardwire the TGX Gateway to a vehicle, which is a common practice for fleet or vehicle managers. TGX comes with a three-wire power cable that will connect to the engine’s ignition source. Once installed, TGX will use the vehicle battery for its power source. It will not drain a vehicle’s battery because the TGX Gateway monitors the voltage level to ensure the vehicle’s battery always has enough power.

TGX also comes with two antennae: one for satellite and the other for cell, LENS, and GPS signals. Those antennae must be mounted on top of the car’s roof using the pre-installed magnets. For vehicles with aluminum bodies, TGX comes with a double-sided adhesive to attach antennae to the vehicle.

Will the TGX turn off if the vehicle is off?

You can configure how long the TGX Gateway needs to be operational after the engine is off. The keep-awake feature can be set between 1 and 240 minutes.

What is the expected run time of the TGX Gateway?

The TGX Gateway will run indefinitely because it is using a vehicle battery.

What software do I need for live monitoring? Do I need a subscription?

You will need a subscription to iNet Now Live Monitoring software for every Ventis Pro5 or Radius BZ1 that sends data through the TGX Gateway. The fee is monthly, with a minimum 12-month commitment.

Each TGX requires a monthly data charge to cover satellite charges, also with a minimum 12-month commitment.
