| Wide Sensor Offering |
The OLCT 200 supports Electro-Chemical, Catalytic Bead, Infrared, and Photo Ionization Detection sensors. Furthermore, the OLCT 200 is available for most common industrial gases, allowing for standardization for your gas detection equipment. |
| Smart Sensors |
The OLCT 200’s smart sensors come factory pre-calibrated and automatically send sensor information, such as sensor life, to the transmitter. A sensor life indicator is displayed immediately after each calibration |
| Graphical LCD Display |
The OLCT 200 comes standard with a backlit LCD display. Data can be displayed as large engineering units with a bar graph or a 30-minute trend graph. For dual sensor models, both sensor readings can be displayed on a split screen. Backlighting is not available for 2-wire and battery-powered models. In addition to the graphical display, each OLCT 200 transmitter comes standard with three alarm LEDs. These alarm LEDs are functional even for intrinsically safe installations, providing basic visual notification on alarms even where relay-powered strobes cannot be used. |
| Non-Intrusive Calibration |
The OLCT 200’s non-intrusive interface keys operate with a simple magnetic wand and allow for full transmitter configuration and calibration without opening the unit’s explosion-proof housing. |
| Programmable Relays |
The optional relays offer three SPDT (Form C) 5 amp dry contact relays and can power up to a 30VDC or 240VAC device. Relays can be configured for high or low alarms, latching or non-latching, and normally open or normally closed. The fault relay (relay 3) is always normally energized for fail-safe operation. |
| SIL-2 |
The OLCT 200 has been analyzed by exida and found to meet the hardware requirements for a SIL-2 device. This provides users who wish to achieve a SIL-2 system the necessary information to integrate the OLCT 200 seamlessly and, furthermore, provides evidence of the OLCT 200’s high reliability. |
| Multiple Wiring Options |
The OLCT 200 can be configured to meet almost any installation application. Common configurations include: 2-Wire (4-20mA) Models - For toxic and oxygen gases, existing 2-wire wiring, and intrinsically safe applications. 3-Wire (4-20mA) Models - Allow for full utilization of the OLCT 200’s features and options and can be used with all of the OLCT 200’s sensors. 4-Wire (Digital ModBus) Models - Allow for full utilization of the OLCT 200’s features and options and can be used with all of the OLCT 200’s sensors. Wireless Models - Provide substantial flexibility and wiring cost savings and are available in direct-powered and battery-powered models. |
| Hot Swappable Sensors |
For intrinsically safe installations, the OLCT 200’s smart sensors can be “hot swapped” without powering down the transmitter or declassifying the area. The smart sensor technology enables the transmitter to automatically recognize the new sensor and update its internal information. |
| HART™ Communication Protocol |
The OLCT 200 offers an optional HART™ Communication Package to allow for remote configuration and gas monitoring of the OLCT 200 through a standard HART™ Field Communication Device. The HART™ Communication option is available on 3-wire, 4-20mA models. |
| Wireless Communication |
The OLCT 200’s wireless models offer flexibility and installation cost savings. Wireless models can be configured to transmit at 900MHz or 2.4Ghz frequencies and can be direct powered or battery powered. Additional antennas and wireless repeaters are available to meet specific application needs. |
| Security Mode |
The OLCT 200 offers two levels of system security: LOW - Allows sensor calibration, but requires pass code for altering any other system settings. HIGH - Requires pass code for altering any system settings. Menus are always viewable without the pass code. |
| Internal Memory |
The OLCT 200 provides up to 30 minutes of data logging for single and dual gas models. In addition to gas value readings, the OLCT 200 has an alarm event log and stores the last 64 calibrations into its internal memory. |
| Fault Supervision Circuitry |
The OLCT 200’s “fault supervision” circuitry continuously monitors the system for failed sensors. |
| Programmable Warm-Up Delays |
User programmable delays may be set to lock the transmitter output at zero for a defined duration after power-up and/or calibration. This allows the sensor time to stabilize, avoiding costly false alarms. Similar delays may also be programmed to delay the activation of a relay or to maintain the activation of a relay for a specified duration after an alarm event has concluded. |
| RS-485 ModBus RTU |
The optional RS-485 port provides ModBus RTU slave operation of the OLCT 200. Models configured with ModBus RTU also provide three SPDT alarm relays. |
| Dual Gas Sensing |
The OLCT 200 allow for detection and display of up to two gases on certain models. Both gas sensors may be mounted directly to the transmitter, or one of the gas sensors may be mounted remotely. |
| Stainless Steel Enclosure |
An optional stainless steel enclosure can be configured for corrosive environments. |
| Remote Sensor Placement |
The OLCT 200 allows for one of the sensors for dual sensor models to be mounted remote to the display. This can be very useful in applications where the gas detection location is inaccessible or hard to reach. |
| Cold Weather Heater |
An optional cold weather heater package is available for the OLCT 200. The option includes a heater on both the sensor and in the transmitter housing. The heaters will activate when the temperature drops below a user-specified setting and will power-off when the temperature is above this setting. |
